How do I set up my auto repair shop Google Business Profile to get more calls?

You know your shop is on Google somewhere, but the calls aren't coming. Here's how Nolavi works through it, the same way a good mechanic works on a car: find the concern, the cause, the correction, then verify the fix.

1

The concern

Nate's shop had a Google Business Profile but nobody had touched it in two years. The hours were wrong, there were no photos, and the services section was blank. He had 23 reviews. The shop across the street had 310.

2

The cause

Nolavi checked the profile against what Google looks for to rank a shop in the local pack. Hours, services, photos, reviews and posts all factor in. Nate's profile was missing most of them. Google was showing his shop lower in search results because the profile looked incomplete and untended.

3

The correction

We updated the hours, added the nine services the shop does most, uploaded twelve real shop photos, and set up a review text that goes out an hour after each paid repair order. Nolavi now checks the profile weekly and flags anything Google says is missing or wrong.

4

The verification

Maps calls went from 31 to 64 a month in two months. Nolavi shows Maps calls every day and compares them week over week on the dashboard.

Questions

Quick answers.

What is the most important thing to fill in on Google Business Profile?

Hours, services and photos matter most for search ranking. Reviews matter for whether people call after they find you. All four together put you in the local pack.

How often should I update my Google Business Profile?

Check hours and services every few months. Add photos when you have good ones. Reviews come in on their own when you ask after each visit.
